Chapter 18: Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting RMS
This section includes possible solutions to some problems you may experience while using RMS.
The information here includes topics from the RMS Online Help System, as well as more detailed
troubleshooting suggestions.
RMS Server is Not Responding
1. Verify that you are pointing your web browser to the proper IP address for the RMS server.
2. Verify that the Telestra system running the RMS software is plugged in and powered on.
3. Check network cable connections for the Telestra system and the PC running the web
browser.
4. If necessary, connect keyboard and monitor to the Telestra system and verify network set-
tings, as described in the “Initial Network Conguration” section of this document. Verify
the same network settings for the PC running the web browser. Contact your network
administrator if you have any questions about IP address, subnet mask, or network gate-
way settings for either machine.
5. Ensure Telestra’s “nameserver” conguration is set to a reachable IP address, or removed
altogether.
6. As a last resort, reboot the Telestra system via the Telestra Conguration Utility, or by
pressing the CTRL + ALT + DEL key sequence.
