Chapter 16: Telestra Conﬁguration Parameters

All of Telestra’s RMS and HLA conﬁguration can be performed via the web-browser interface,

with the exception of initial network setup.

The Telestra Conﬁguration File is a text ﬁle that speciﬁes the Telestra system’s overall setup, as

well as DACS- and HLA-speciﬁc parameters. The Satellite Communications Server settings are

also speciﬁed here. This ﬁle can be downloaded for back-up purposes, and uploaded to speed sys-

tem conﬁguration.

This is a system-maintained ﬁle, and should NEVER be manually edited, unless speciﬁcally

instructed by ASTi.

Making changes to some of the parameters outlined here will require Telestra to restart various

network services and software. Parameters in this manual requiring software restart will display

this icon:

This software restart may interfere with other processes that are currently running when the restart

is called. These include DACS Backup and Restoration, Model Document generation, HLA Com-

munications software, etc. ASTi recommends against making changes to the Telestra Conﬁgu-

ration while these other processes are running.
