HLA Settings
HLA: Active RTI
The “Active RTI” setting selects which runtime libraries to use for HLA applications.
If the desired RTI is not listed, you must first upload its archive.
Note: If you are using libraries from MÄK or VTC, you must also specify a license server
hostname to use. The license server IP address is optional, depending on your network setup.
If your network supports DNS, a license server IP address is not necessary. If you are not
using DNS, the IP address for your license server is required.
HLA: RTI License Server Name
If you are using an RTI from MÄK or VTC, you must specify a license server host-
name to use. The license server IP address is optional, depending on your network
setup. If your network supports DNS, a license server IP address is not necessary. If
you are not using DNS, the IP address for your license server is required.
The specified license server name must match the name in the “SERVER” line in the MÄK
license file.
HLA: RTI License Server IP Address
If you are using an RTI from MÄK or VTC, you must specify a license server host-
name to use. The license server IP address is optional, depending on your network
setup. If your network supports DNS, a license server IP address is not necessary. If
you are not using DNS, the IP address for your license server is required.
HLA: RTI License Server Port
Used in conjunction with license server name and IP address, this setting specifies the
TCP/IP port number over which communications with the license server occurs.
These settings are only required when using a MÄK or VTC RTI.
This setting is optional. If this field is blank, Telestra will automatically determine the correct
TCP/IP port on which to communicate with the license server. If this field contains a value, the
license server port must match the port specified in the “DAEMON” line in the MÄK license
file.
HLA: Ethernet Remote Control Interface
Each ethernet card in the Telestra system can accept HLA-specific, runtime com-
mands from external sources, such as a host computer. When “on”, this setting
enables remote control for that ethernet card; “off” disables remote control.
By default, remote control is enabled for all ethernet cards.
This setting’s format in the Telestra Configuration file has changed in version 2.0. Older
Telestra Configuration files from HLA Communications systems (version 1.6 and prior) will
still work in version 2.0, but the Remote Control Interface will be turned “on” by default,
unless otherwise specified through the RMS web interface.
